Electronics Lab

Multimedia Lab
The Multimedia Lab is a creative hub for digital content production, offering the latest software and technology for graphic design, animation, video editing, and audio production. Students can explore visual storytelling, motion graphics, and digital art, using industry-standard tools to bring their artistic visions to life. This lab plays a crucial role in training students for careers in media, entertainment, and digital marketing.

TVP Studio
The TVP Studio is a professional-grade television and video production facility designed for broadcast journalism, filmmaking, and live event production. Equipped with high-end cameras, lighting rigs, chroma key setups, and advanced editing suites, the studio provides hands-on experience in news anchoring, documentary filmmaking, and television programming, preparing students for the fast-paced world of media production.

Dubbing Studio
The Dubbing Studio is dedicated to voiceover artistry and sound engineering, featuring soundproof booths, industry-standard microphones, and high-quality editing software. This facility enables students to gain expertise in dubbing, podcast production, ADR (Automated Dialogue Replacement), and sound design, helping them refine their voice modulation, audio synchronization, and production techniques for the entertainment and media industries.
All labs are designed to provide a safe and conducive environment for students to engage in practical experiments, enhancing their theoretical knowledge.
AASC library with a vast collection of books, a variety of journals and magazines (National and International) serves as a very effective learning resource in the campus. There are 5,612 titles and 16,972 volumes in the library. The library subscribes to 31 National and 3 International journals. DELNET networks about 2200 libraries in 32 states which provide more than 1 crore and 25 lakh bibliographic records of books, journals, journal articles etc., along with open source e-books and e-journals. INFLIBNET provides access to more than 3000 e-journals and more than 75,000 e-books. The library also has membership in the American Consulate Library and British Council Library which facilitates faculty to access latest publications on research as well

There are dedicated college buses that operate on shuttle trips covering key areas, making it convenient for students to reach the campus. Surge Club
The Surge Club is a dynamic platform that nurtures student interest in economics, finance, and business. The club promotes financial literacy, critical thinking, and leadership—equipping students with the skills and confidence needed for careers in business, policy, and finance.
Google Developer Group (GDG)
GDG Alpha is a student-led tech community affiliated with Google Developers, focused on innovation, learning, and collaboration. Members explore AI, app development, cloud computing, and cybersecurity through workshops, hackathons, and expert sessions. With a strong emphasis on mentorship and inclusion—including initiatives like Women in Tech—GDG prepares students for the evolving digital landscape while fostering a global tech network.
TiE Club
In collaboration with The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), the TiE Club empowers students with entrepreneurial skills and industry exposure. Through seminars, mentorship, webinars, and certification programs, students gain the tools and confidence to explore startup opportunities and navigate the world of innovation and business.
Green Technology Club
The Green Technology Club inspires environmental awareness and sustainable practices on campus. Students participate in tree plantation drives, awareness campaigns, eco-friendly projects, and composting activities. The club fosters eco-conscious leadership by promoting a clean, green, and holistic learning environment.
ENACTUS
The ENACTUS chapter at Alpha Arts and Science College empowers students to drive sustainable social change through entrepreneurial action. Part of a global network across 36 countries, Enactus connects students, academic leaders, and business professionals to tackle real-world challenges in line with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. Since its inception in 2003, the Alpha Enactus team has earned two international runner-up titles and three national championships, standing out as a leader in social entrepreneurship and innovation.
Young Indians (Yi) – YUVA
The Yi Club, part of the YUVA movement by Young Indians, develops leadership, entrepreneurship, and social responsibility among students. With a focus on nation-building, students engage in skill development, community service, and youth-led initiatives that foster active citizenship and future-ready leadership.
Rotaract Club
The Rotaract Club offers students opportunities to grow through service and leadership. Activities such as health camps, environmental drives, and career workshops help students develop communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while making a positive impact in their communities.
Youth Red Cross (YRC)
Affiliated with the Indian Red Cross Society, the YRC Unit encourages students to engage in humanitarian service. Through blood donation camps, health awareness drives, and voluntary outreach, students contribute to societal well-being and develop a strong sense of compassion and civic duty.
Red Ribbon Club (RRC)
The RRC promotes awareness about HIV/AIDS and public health through educational programs and campus initiatives. The club organizes blood donation drives and supports the formation of a campus Blood Bank, reinforcing a spirit of service and health advocacy among students.
National Cadet Corps (NCC)
The NCC unit, comprising 50 cadets led by a Lieutenant-ranked officer, instills discipline, patriotism, and leadership. Through drills, camps, and selection training for the Republic Day Camp (RDC), cadets develop resilience, teamwork, and a commitment to national service.
Child Rights Club
Aligned with the motto Seek, Share, Serve, the NSS unit fosters community engagement and social responsibility. Students participate in outreach programs, awareness campaigns, and volunteer efforts that promote inclusivity, empathy, and service to society.

National Service Scheme (NSS)
The Child Rights Club champions awareness and advocacy for children’s rights in alignment with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). Through workshops, campaigns, and outreach, students promote child safety, inclusion, and empowerment. Alpha Arts and Science College collaborates with ICT Academy, an initiative of the Government of India, working alongside state governments, leading ICT companies, and NASSCOM to enhance skill development and digital empowerment.
With a focus on faculty and student training, ICT Academy operates through a seven-pillar program covering Faculty Development, Student Skill Development, Entrepreneurship Development, Youth Empowerment, Industry-Institute Interaction, Digital Empowerment, and Research & Publications. Recently endorsed by NITI Aayog, ICT Academy is recognized as a key organization in advancing the Skill India Vision. Through its initiatives, it actively contributes to national missions such as Skill India, Digital India, Startup India, and Make in India, empowering students with industry-relevant skills and fostering innovation-driven growth.
Alpha Arts and Science College has signed an MoU with the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) and has been recognized as the ICSI Chennai – II Study Center since July 19, 2018. This center provides students from semi-urban areas with the opportunity to pursue Company Secretary (CS) courses alongside their graduation. With a strong infrastructure, well-equipped library, and experienced faculty, the center supports students in preparing for CS Foundation and Executive courses, which have been offered since the 2018-19 academic year.
Alpha Arts and Science College is an officially chartered member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) under the AASC ACM-W Student Chapter. This global network fosters enthusiasm for technology, computing, and innovation by engaging students in competitions, tutorials, and events. Students actively participate in international ACM competitions, and their achievements are recognized in the ACM New York Bulletin, enhancing their exposure to the latest trends in computing and digital technologies.
The Madras Management Association (MMA) Student Chapter was initiated at Alpha Arts and Science College on February 27, 2021, to bridge the gap between academia and industry. MMA provides students with direct exposure to the corporate world through lectures by industry experts, workshops, and national-level conventions. By participating in these activities, students gain leadership skills, managerial insights, and professional networking opportunities, enhancing their employability and career prospects.
In collaboration with ICT Academy, Alpha Arts and Science College has introduced Youth Circle, a premium program designed to help students transition from college to their professional careers. This forum offers a supportive and engaging environment where students can improve their communication skills, particularly in English, through peer group interactions, real-life reflections, and practical applications. Youth Circle enhances speaking, listening, and critical thinking skills, fostering self-confidence and leadership abilities, regardless of academic performance.
Alpha Arts and Science College partners with NPTEL (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning), an initiative by the IITs and IISc, to provide students with free online courses and certifications across various disciplines. These courses are designed to enhance technical knowledge, upskill students, and offer flexible learning opportunities. With a nominal fee for certification exams, NPTEL enables students to learn anytime, anywhere, supporting India’s mission to promote digital education and skill development.
